All WIdgeons had the same basic specifications :

The basic G-44 / J4F /G-44A had Fairchild Ranger L-440 engines rated at 200 horsepower.

Most operators after WW 2 found the airplane did not have sufficient reserve horsepower and several engine conversions were designed, tested and certified.

There are a few one and off conversions that can be discussed later.
